Flow Charts
Large Selection of Shapes
(they can all be easily modified):
The Charting tool set (shown on the left) provides
a wide selection of standard charting elements.
These all have convenient simplified controls for
changing their shapes if needed. Any shape can be converted to
an editable Bezier Curve for further
customization if needed. Even if you are not
drawing a flow chart, these can be handy starting
points.
Powerful Connector capability (paths attached to
graphics):
Connectors have a broad scope of use in vector
drawing. They are used to form the
interconnecting lines on the flow chart below.
If the path is attached, it will move with the host
graphic - maintaining its precise connection.
There are also orthogonal path connectors, these
will stretch and slide to remain horizontal and
vertical when their host graphic is moved.
Window Shade (blue
control upper right of Styles palette):
Notice the Styles palette has window shade control.
Compare it with the view on the
Export
Screen Shot. There this control has been
used to shorten the palette to just show the two key
parameters near the top of the palette. This
convenient control is found on all of our parameter
palettes. Three preset levels are provided.
The shortest rolls the panel up completely, just the
title bar showing. Click on one of the "three
window blinds" and the palette will drop some of the
lower positioned parameters-which are normally the
less frequently used of the palette's set.
This provides the convenience the palette interface
model while conserving valuable screen real estate.
