MacDrawII, MacDrawPro, PICT and Claris
Draw Import
New with version 1.9.0:
EazyDraw now supports full import of Claris
Draw, MacDrawII,
MacDrawPro, and PICT
files. All vector information, patterns, colors,
gradients, groups, layers, and rotated objects are supported by the import.
Full
support is provided for import and editing of PICT
images and files. PICT content may be
converted to EazyDraw vector graphics. The
conversion conserves vector information, fully
attributed text, as well as embedded bitmap images.
This capability is now available with
version 1.9.0, email our support team for further
information.
Ungroup PICT:
APICT files, PICT content from imported
drawings, and PICT content from the system paste
board may be ungrouped. This converts the
drawing vectors and text into corresponding EazyDraw
vector content, making it possible to editing or
revise the PICT content. This provides a
conversion path to convert PICT drawings to full
vector PDF, most other graphics converters only
provide bitmap core content and no editing during
the process.
Full Vector Support:
All vector information is imported into the
EazyDraw document. Line widths, paths, text
font information, patterns, just to name a few.
Everything from layers to arrow style are reproduced
faithfully in the new EazyDraw OS X drawing.
Technical Drawing Support:
Autolines are imported and converted to
connecting dimension autolines in Eazydraw.
Drawing scale and origin are reproduced in the
imported drawing.
Text - Font & Style Conserved:
Text is imported as fully attributed strings.
This conserves the Font (if the font in present in
OS X) style, color, shadowing etc. The
imported text fully editable in EazyDraw.
Export to Contemporary Formats:
The converted file is normally saved in the
EazyDraw native format, with the converted file
becoming the new master for future revisions.
The content may, of course, be exported to any of
the numerous file types supported by EazyDraw, PDF,
TIFF, JPG, PNG, EPS, ICNS, GIF, and PICT.
Direct export to Keynote file format is provided.

Screen Shot
The screen shot to the left shows a
Claris Draw import result. The back window is a ClarisDraw window
running in the Classic Mode on OS X. The drawing was created with
Claris Draw. The forward window shows the same file imported into
EazyDraw running native OS X.
Note on evaluation
We understand that our 20 graphic demo
license limit may not allow proper evaluation of our ability to properly
read these files. We will translate, at no charge, one or two
files. You may email the MacDraw files to
support@eazydraw.com and we
will return the *.ezdraw converted file, which you may view in the
reader mode (without purchasing a license). |
